I have an iPhone 6 and am experiencing the phone app freezing occasionally since updating the iOS to version 10.0.2. I've rebooted the device to clear the issue although have now noticed that the problem does clear after a period of delay (couple of minutes).

Try these general steps. They could help.
1. Reset your iPhone by pressing and holding Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
2. Sign out from your iCloud account and sign back in again.
signing out from iCloud solves the problem, which unfortunately appears again after a new sign in.
Thanks Ella. I've have been resetting (rebooting) the iphone to get it working but it then later freezes in the phone app.
I've also now tried signing out and then back in to iCloud and again is only a temporary fix (as pointed out by Accenturo) as it later freezes in the phone app. Leaving the handset for a period of a few minutes also works, although quite frustrating.
